Janine Lewis
Second Dan
Office Manager, North Side Dojang
I have been training at Jung Kim’s Martial Arts Academy since April of 1996. It has been an unexpected, incredibly challenging, life-altering glorious journey. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this school and to work with such a special group of people, both instructors and students alike.
I have had many jobs, including operating my own business for more than five years. This is without a doubt the most rewarding job I have had. Realizing the positive effect Tae Kwon Do has had on my life makes me want to share it with others. My experiences with TKD helped me to know who I am and be the kind of person I always wanted to be. Now I get the opportunity to see the positive effect it has on others every day. In the few years I have been working here I have seen many children grow into strong, courteous and confident young adults due, in large part, to their participation in TKD.
"If Tae Kwon Do techniques are mastered and used properly, “do” serves:
to perfect the character through moral teachings (such as courteousness, humility and honor),
to teach generosity – the physical and mental mastery of the ego (such as perseverance, self-control, patience and fairness),
to teach the art of strengthening the body and the mind through the high art of self-defense.”

Jeff Howard
Second Dan
Jeff has been practicing Taekwondo since 1997.
"Taekwondo truly is a way of life. It became part of my life at a time when it could help me most and I treasure that. Taekwondo helps instill discipline, builds character and integrity. As a former TV news producer, and now an elementary school teacher, I know stress! But the discipline I’ve developed through studying Taekwondo helps me confront stressful situations calmly and in a more practical manner. For me, Taekwondo has become my moral compass as I try to live my life under our 5 Aims. I keep sharp mentally and physically, and I have a much more self-confident outlook on life."

Dr. John Graham

John Graham, known about the Dojang as Dr. John, began training in martial arts during high school. "I have been pleased to see the discipline and athleticism developed at Jung Kim's Martial Arts carry over into activities at school and in the home."
Dr. John is a practicing internal medicine MD with Group Health, and works as a hospital based physician.
